Goalie Fight in the OHL

Thanks to Totalprosports for the story and video of a goalie fight saturday in the Ontario Hockey League.

From the looks of it the whole game was quite the brawl much like the old IHL days with Indy and Fort Wayne

Calgary vs Blackhawks 10/12/2009

This was a wild game to watch...it looked really bad for Chicago but in the 3rd the Flames looked deafeated after the 4th Chicago goal, so it was just a matter of when the Hawks would tie it up. In OT Calgary never even seemed to challenge the Hawks.

Battle of Alberta

From the time I started seriously following hockey in the early 90s I have always heard great stories about the Calgary/Edmonton rivalry and the Battle of Alberta games. Here is a great video tribute to these 2 great teams.

Khabibuhlin shot down in Flames!

Twitter and Facebook

well if you want to follow your teams and you love keeping up to date then you must go to twitter and facebook. I follow sorts of teams and leagues of all kinds on twitter and I can also talk a little smack to friends on twitter and FB while watching games. Its always fun to see what other are saying about games and tv you are watching. Most hockey, baseball, basketball, auto racing leauges as well as off sports like rugby and soccer have twitter accounts. The NFL of course being the stodgy old league frowns on twitter for players and no tweeting during the games. Now the NFL has a twitter and the NFL network has one so you still get updates.
give it a try and see how much fun it can be.

Bankruptcy judge rejects both bids for Phoenix Coyotes

Well I guess the court decided that the NHL and the owners were an exclusive club that can only let in who they want, when they want and for how much.
So the league gets its wish to keep a team losing millions every season in a place that it will continue to lose millions instead of in a city where it would be a instant hit and probably turn a profit in a couple of season.
