1974 Summit Series

The 1974 Summit Series between the Soviets and Canada saw the Canadians represented by WHA all stars this time.
In the first Summit Series in 1972 the WHA players were banned which kept Bobby Hull out of the series. The captain of the Canadian team was Pat "Whitey" Stapleton soon to be a member of the Indianapolis Racers and Gordie Howe was there this time, he retired before the 1972 Summit Series but unretired to join his sons in the WHA and thus was there for the 1974 Series.
Read the summary of the series at the Hockey Hall of Fame website.
