1987 and 1988 Jack Adams Trophy

Jacque Demers is to date the first and only coach to win back to back Jack Adams Trophies as NHL Coach of the Year.  He won the 1987 and 1988 Awards as head coach of the Detroit Redwings.   In these 2 seasons he guided the Red Wings to consecutive Campbell Conference Finals appearances but lost both to eventual Stanley Cup champion Edmonton Oilers.

1933 Stanley Cup Finals

The 1933 Stanley Cup Final saw the Toronto Maple Leafs meet the New York Rangers in a rematch of the 1932 Finals which the Leafs swept the Rangers 3 games 0.

In 1933 the Rangers won their 2nd Stanley Cup with a 3 games to 1 series win.

Bill Cook of the Rangers became the first player to score a Cup-winning goal in overtime.  This won game 4 1-0.

Here is a film made of game 4, now some of this does look staged but its a great peek at NHL hockey in 1933 and the Stanley Cup finals
