Patrik Laine is first rookie with three hat tricks in a season since Teemu Selanne (5) and Eric Lindros (3) in 1992-93.  He lead the NHL this season with 2 players tied for 2nd with 2 hat tricks in the 2016-17 season 
(Max Pacioretty and Michael Grabner).
