Last night in Las Vegas (again killing tradition) the NHL handed out its yearly awards, with most being first time winners.   

Jack Adams Award (Coach of the Year)

Ted Lindsay Award (MVP by the Players)

The Hart Memorial Trophy (Regular Season MVP)

2012 Rocket Richard Trophy

The winner of the 2011-2012 Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy is Steve Stamkos of the Tampa Bay Lightning with 60 goals.
This is his second Richard Trophy, he won his first in 2010.

2012 Art Ross Trophy Winner

The 2011-2012 Art Ross Trophy winner for the NHL leading points scorer goes to the Pittsburgh Penguins' Evgeni Malkin with 109 points (50 G, 59 A)
This is the 2nd Ross Trophy for Malkin who won his first in 2009 with 113 points (35 G, 78 A)

The 2011 winner Daniel Sedin finished 28th in scoring for 2012 with 67 points (30 G, 37 A).
