Brett Hull of the St. Louis Blues became the 5th player in NHL history to score 50 goals in 50 or fewer games. Hull scored his 50th in the Blues 49th game of the year, a nine-four route of the Detroit Red Wings.

Milestones for 2011
April 5th Washington Capitals Alex Ovechkin scores his 300th NHL career goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Ovechkin is the 7th fastest player to reach 300 goals in NHL history.
April 6th Corey Perry nets a hat trick and his 50th goal of the season and putting him in the lead over Steven Stamkos for the Richard Trophy for the goal scoring leader.
Perry is the third Ducks player in franchise history to score 50 goals in a season, the other 2 were Teemu Selanne and Paul Kariya.

50 Goals in 39 Games
Today in 1981 Wayne Gretzky did the unthinkable, he scored his 50th goal of the regular season in only the 39th game.
He also set a record with the most 4 goal games in a season, he had 4 by this point, the last 2 in back to back games.
The way the game is played today this will never happen again, this was truly incredible.
